Tips to Stress Less
Say No
You aren't Superman. Say no to the extra activities that you don't have the time or energy to tackle.
Just Breathe
Close your eyes. Take some slow, deep breaths. Take time to focus on your breathing and clear your mind.
Eliminate Distractions
Remove any potential distractions such as your phone or TV. Use ear plugs or hang a "Do Not Disturb" sign.
Write It Down
Get a planner. Write down everything and check it often. Leave unscheduled time for unexpected things.
Laugh Out Loud
Make a point to have a good laugh daily. Even better, take the time to laugh with a friend.
Turn Up the Music
Listen to relaxing music a few minutes every day. Or put on your favorite song and get moving.
Catch Some ZZZ's
Be sure to get a good night's rest. Being tired can make it hard to focus and do well.
Take a Break
Be sure to take a short break at least once an hour. Touch your toes, wiggle your fingers, march in place, reach for the sky, or walk to the water fountain and back.
Add 15 Minutes
Get up 15 minutes earlier or take 15 minutes before bed to organize and prepare for the next day to avoid feeling rushed and unprepared.
Take Time for Lunch
No matter how busy you are, try to take at least 15 minutes to put down your books and take a lunch break. It's not easy to focus on an empty stomach.
